Hi Tucker here, My previous family didnât have time for me so here I am looking for a new home. I am good with other dogs And love my people. Iâm house trained and have good inside manners. Iâm only about 40lbs so perfect size. Iâm happy in my foster home but would love a home of my own. I do have some leash reactivity and issues with confidence so an experienced dog owner is a must and experience with fearful dogs would be great. Iâm not a very fearful dog but I lack confidence in new situations and need time to settle. Please fill out an application to meet and adopt me at asecondchanceforziva.org.
Hi my name is Sadie! I am 2 years and about 50 lbs. I am a really good and smart girl. I am in GA with my foster and my foster dog siblings. My owners gave me up because they didn't have time for me- they kept me in the crate for most of the day and I didn't get to get out much. So, this is better for me and I have a new chance. I LOVE to play and romp and play and play... I kind of prefer males over females but I really do fine with both. I have been around kids while I am out and about and they don't bother me one bit. I am a young terrier mix so exercise and training is key! I am housebroken, crate-trained and I would love an active home that is open to giving me lots of love, attention and positive reinforcement. Hi my name is Oakley and I'm an 11 month old, 40 lb. Shepherd mix. I'm a very sweet boy that's super affectionate and playful, Are you looking to start an exercise routine? I would be a great companion for your walks or run. I'm a fast learner and eager to learn new things. I'm in a foster home and doing well, I'm still a puppy, and my house training has gone really well so keep me on a consistent schedule for potty breaks. It would be fun to go to puppy training classes with you. I'm great in public, and would love to go on your outings. I'm such a good boy, what are you waiting for? If you're looking for a great dog, I'm your boy! I'm in a foster home in Texas and ready for my move to New England. For more info, please email email@example.com. Hi there! My name is Marshall and I am a 1 year old, 57lb Labrador/Great Pyrenees mix. I am currently living in a foster home in OK with 8 other dogs and although I was nervous and overwhelmed when I first arrived, I have gotten used to them and they have given me great confidence. One of my "besties" in the house is Onyx - I think she looks like me! There are also 2 cats in my foster home who I think I like, but I don't get to play with them much as they prefer not to free roam with 8 large dogs (I can't imagine why)! My foster mom says I am SUPER sweet and a very calm boy and I think those are good things?! She is spending a lot of time with me working on my basic commands and my name and she says I am very smart and learning quickly. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate through the night without a peep. I am getting better on the leash every day too. I have not lived with kids yet, but I think I would love them, although probably the older kind since they tend to be less noisy and more predictable. I am good in the car and sit very quietly in the back. I will need someone who will be patient with me and continue to let me grow and become more confident once in my new home. My ideal forever home would include a physical fence where I can sit outside and survey my surroundings, and definitely a doggie sibling I can run and play with off leash. I also wouldn't mind some of those "human" siblings who could play ball with me or I could snuggle with on the couch while they play video games. And of course, I would like lots of love and patience from everyone in my new family! I am looking forward to finding my new forever home and settling into a great life! I am healthy, neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations and currently in a foster home in Oklahoma. My bags are packed and I am ready to head to New England and my forever home next week! If you are interested in adopting me or learning more about me, please email Darcy@asecondchanceforziva.com or fill out an application at www.asecondchanceforziva.org
Gilley has a story - a really sad one that has turned uplifting thanks to the many hands and eyes and hearts down in GA. Gilley was surrendered to a kill shelter by her family when they fell on very unfortunate and unexpected circumstances. She was walked into the shelter by her mom and human brother. They didn't realize it was a place where Gilley could possibly be euthanized. Fortunately, a volunteer saw this situation happening and reached out to us to save Gilley from becoming a number in the system. A foster then stepped up and Gilley had to spend a few mere hours in the shelter. She's one of the lucky ones and things happened at the right time for her. Gilley has been through some traumatic events but is the sweetest, gentlest, loving dog. She is about 7 - 9 years old and loves all dogs and people. Gilley is obedient, well-behaved and just an overall joy and even though she was very confused at first, she has settled in and is loving life with her foster family. This girl also can't catch a break. Soon after ASCZ took Gilley in, we discovered she has pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is very manageable with a strict diet and many dogs live long and very happy lives but Gilley does need some extra care in the food department and of course, extra attention if she does have a flare up. She is doing wonderfully now! We would love to see this girl finally be comfortable and happy in a forever home that just can shower her with love. If interested in Gilley and learning more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. ********************************************************************************* A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc.
